Job Description
HPCNow! seeks a passionate and proactive Computational Scientist—R Expert to join our team. The job functions include working closely with our user community, building, deploying, and troubleshooting software in our application stack, being responsible for R language support as part of the enablement team, relaying stakeholder needs to the developer teams, and preparing and delivering training sessions.
Job Requirements
- Eligible to live and/or work in Europe, New Zealand, or LATAM.
- Partially available in the USA time zone.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
Skills and Experience
Required
Good knowledge of the R ecosystem, including R Shiny
Knowledge of Git and GitLab
Experience doing presentations, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences, including stakeholders, technical colleagues, and management
Desired
Experience with R programming language/ecosystem and Posit tools
Experience with software packaging tools such as EasyBuild, Spack, and Homebrew
Experience with DevOps software engineering practices, including
continuous integration and testing frameworks
Prior experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry
