We will only add your details to the membership email newsletter program that this website uses if it has been made clear to you and your express permission was granted when submitting any form to email process. If you select to join one or more of the WHPC Chapters as part of your application for individual membership, we will share your name and email address with the designated representatives of those chapters, in order that they may share information with you about the Chapter’s activities and opportunities. Except for as noted above for WHPC Chapter & Affiliates, your details are not passed on to any third parties.
Membership Newsletter
WHPC operates a members email newsletter program, used to inform individual members of the Organisation about WHPC’s initiatives, activities and useful information. Members can subscribe through an online form should they wish to do so but do so at their own discretion. Updates to mailing preferences can be made at any time. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through the prior written agreement with the user.
Subscriptions are taken in compliance with UK Spam Laws detailed in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and the EU General Data Protection Regulations. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulations. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies/people outside of WHPC and The University of Edinburgh. You may request a copy of personal information held about you by this website’s email newsletter program. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to the business address at the bottom of this policy.
Email marketing campaigns published by this website or its owners may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation.
