High school diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar.
HPCNow! is looking for a passionate and proactive HPC Engineer to join the technical team. Job functions include teaming with HPC support staff to answer user questions and solve technical problems by phone, email, and onsite. Tasks include interactive issue troubleshooting, following client issue tickets through to resolution, documenting resolutions in a knowledge base, working with application and system owners or supporters to identify advanced solutions, installing and configuring applications, studying and improving application performance, and presenting user training.
Eligible to live and/or work in France, Italy, Spain or Germany.
Excellent oral and written English skills.
Availability for business travels.
Teamwork attitude, leadership and ability to innovate, proactivity, good communication skills, and focus on achieving results.
Skills and Experience
More than five years of experience in similar roles.
Good knowledge of Linux Enterprise distributions (RedHat EL, SLES, Ubuntu, etc).
Scripting knowledge with Bash and Python.
Experience with InfiniBand.
Experience with GPU clusters using NVIDIA environment.
LDAP, CIFS, SSH, DHCP, DNS (Bind).
Experience with Slurm and other schedulers.
Experience with containerization in HPC workloads.
Experience with Bright Cluster Manager.
Contributions to HPC projects, experience with DevOps and automation tools.
