SC 2022 Networking Reception

Women in HPC is pleased to be returning with our Networking Reception on Tuesday, November 15th at Cafe Herrera!

Unfortunately, we have now SOLD OUT of all available tickets.  If you have reserved your space, please see instructions below for early wristband pick-up, agenda, and menu for the night.

This is a free reception for those who have reserved tickets.  Should additional tickets become available the link to sign up will be placed here.

Finally, thanks to the contribution of Alces Flight there will be a limited number of gift bags available for reception attendees.  Gift bags will be distributed first come, first serve, so please arrive at the start of the event to avoid disappointment.

We want everyone to have a wonderful time at our Networking Reception.  We also understand that every day of SC is packed with sessions, programs, events and opportunities.  To save you time and hopefully some waiting – this year we will be opening up the opportunity to collect your wristband prior to the start of the event.

On Tuesday, November 15th from 9:00 AM on the Exhibitor Floor supporters Alces Flight and Fraunhofer (BeeGFS) will be holding the list of registrations for wristband distribution.

• If your last name starts with letters A to M: Alces Flight, Booth #4300
• If your last name starts with letters N to Z: Fraunhofer/BeeGFS, Booth #1242

When will general registration close?

We reached ticket capacity on November 8, 2022 and have closed requests.  Should more tickets become available we will place the link here.

I missed the cut-off, can I still go?

As of November 8, 2022 we reached capacity.  However, should more tickets become available we will place the link here.  If you are at conference please visit Alces Flight and BeeGFS who will, should we have space available, issue you a wristband.

I’m registered.  Can I collect my wristband at the venue?

Yes!  We are only allowing wristband collection prior to the event start in hopes that it allows people to enter the event quickly and not be caught waiting too long to check-in.  More time to network!

Can I just turn up at the venue without a registration or wristband? 

You could, but as we have reached ticket capacity please note you will likely be turned away.

I am seeing different coloured wristbands, what do they mean?  It helps us with headcount.  In short:

• Yellow – Supporter, volunteer, committee and speaker tickets
• Blue – General Admission (registered on or before November 14th cut-off)
• Red – Last minute ticket availability

I lost my wristband!

Don’t panic.  Head to the check-in desk at the venue and we should be able to let you in.

What should I bring to the Networking Reception?

Business cards or any other means by which you can connect with the people you meet.  Other than that, be ready to come, have fun, and relax.

I have special dietary needs!

We’ve done our best to cover all dietary requirements with our menu.  Can’t eat anything on the menu? Please use the registration form to contact the organisers if you have special requirements and we will do our best to assist.

Tell me about the gift bag.

This year’s gift bag is a tote sponsored by Alces Flight. Brilliant blue in colour, it features our logo emblazoned on the front.  In keeping with our commitment to supporting women, these bags – which are made of 100% recycled material – have been sourced by Darling Promo, a female-owned business in the USA.  There are a limited number on offer and will be claimed first come, first served.  Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
