SC 2023 Networking Reception

Women in HPC is pleased to be returning with our Networking Reception on Tuesday, November 14th from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at The Curtis Hotel, Denver!

Tickets to the event are currently SOLD OUT.  Please feel free to check the event registration page in case of any cancellations.

Thanks to the contribution of Alces Flight there will be a limited number of gift bags available for reception attendees.  Gift bags will be distributed first come, first serve, so please arrive at the start of the event to avoid disappointment.

We want everyone to have a wonderful time at our Networking Reception.  We also understand that every day of SC is packed with sessions, programs, events and opportunities – not to mention – it can get very cold in Denver!  To save you time and hopefully some waiting – this year we will be opening up the opportunity to collect your wristband prior to the start of the event.

You will be able to pick-up your event wristband from:

• The WHPC Workshop on November 13, 2023
• The following exhibitors during the November 13, 2023 Exhibitor Gala:
  • Alces Flight, Booth #224
  • BeeGFS, Booth #1563

How to Pick-Up Early – Workshop

Before the workshop starts and during breaks a volunteer for WHPC will be holding a list of registered names and wristbands.  Simply line up and get your name checked off the list.  Wristbands this year are also keepsakes, meaning you can take them on and off.  They are also waterproof and glow in the dark!

How to Pick-Up from the Exhibitor Gala + General Exhibition

List will be split by last name… if your last name is…

A-M, then head to Alces Flight.  They can be found at booth #224.

N-Z, then head to Fraunhofer/BeeGFS.  They can be found at booth #1563

Note, you can pick up your wristband from the event itself – so don’t panic if you can’t pick it up early.  We’ll see you at the reception!

We have a wonderful mixed selection of food and drink on offer… here are some of the highlights!

Starters

• Pigs in a blanket, chicken poppers, beef satay
• Veggie fried mushrooms, breaded artichoke hearts, and mini baked potatoes
• Vegan spring rolls, cucumber and hummus, pita with hummus + pomegranate

Food Stations*

• Roasted roots with with aged balsamic, lemon and rosemary oils
• Hot potato bar with selection of toppings
• Chips + Dips!

Dessert

• Macaroons and sugar cookies
• Season fruit and melon

*To make sure we are catering to all diets we will have toppings for our veggie options set separately at our food stations – allowing for everyone to mix and match to their tastes and needs!
