Software Developer for Application Optimization and Codesign of New Computer Architectures

Conducting research for a changing society: This is what drives us at Forschungszentrum Jülich. As a member of the Helmholtz Association, we aim to tackle the grand societal challenges of our time and conduct research into the possibilities of a digitized society, a climate-friendly energy system, and a resource-efficient economy. Work together with around 7,100 employees in one of Europe’s biggest research centres and help us to shape change!
The Jülich Supercomputer Centre (JSC) operates one of the most advanced supercomputing infrastructures for scientific applications in Europe and makes it available for research purposes to scientists at Forschungszentrum Jülich, in Germany, and throughout Europe. The research group “Software for Modular Supercomputers” develops critical software components for the operation and use of modular supercomputers, working tightly together with domain scientists and industry partners. In collaboration with our ATML (Algorithm, Tools, and Methods Lab) “Application Optimization and User Service Tools” applications are optimized and scaled in terms of performance, efficiency, and parallel I/O. We provide users with the knowledge and proper tool sets for their work on the Jülich HPC systems.
