Tech Lead / GPU Developer – Project Management in C++/CUDA (HPC & Cloud)

Aneo supports stakeholders in research, industry, and tech on complex projects that combine high-performance computing, software innovation, and cloud infrastructure.
As part of our strategic partnership with NVIDIA, we are expanding our team with a GPU Tech Lead who can technically lead critical scientific code acceleration projects.
You will be responsible for high-stakes industrial and scientific projects, acting both as an internal technical lead and a key point of contact for our clients and partners.

Your Responsibilities
Technical and operational leadership of GPU migration and optimization projects (primarily NVIDIA)
Technical supervision of project teams: organizing development, validating architectures and technical approaches
Working on major industrial codes (e.g., Code_Saturne in industry) as well as exploratory or innovative projects (quantum physics, scientific AI…)
Developing and implementing code portability strategies (modern C++ with Kokkos, Python JIT with JAX or Numba)
Acting as a key technical liaison with NVIDIA: regular communication, technical follow-up of the partnership
Technical pre-sales: supporting business teams with solution qualification, feasibility assessments, and recommendations
Opportunity to contribute to broader HPC or Cloud missions depending on your interests


Technical Environment

Languages: Modern C++, CUDA
Python with JIT (JAX, Numba, PyTorch)
Scientific codes: Code_Saturne, quantum computing, physical modeling
Accelerators: NVIDIA GPU (CUDA), OpenACC, JIT compilation
Project tools: Git, code review, CI, client collaboration
HPC & Cloud: GCP, AWS, on-prem clusters, hybrid setups


Requirements

Proven experience in C++/CUDA development within HPC or scientific simulation contexts
Past experience in technical leadership, team supervision, or project ownership
Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with clients or strategic partners
Rigorous, autonomous, and able to thrive in demanding environments
Experience with Kokkos or similar portability libraries
Open to expanding into related fields (cloud, AI, distributed architectures…)
Bonus: experience with other accelerators (AMD GPUs, FPGAs, etc.)
French and English level C1 ou C2
