High-Performance Computing (HPC) Specialist

We are looking for a High-Performance Computing (HPC) Specialist to focus on supporting the HPC service and its users, including an expansion to taught-course student users. This role will provide training and outreach, and specialist knowledge and skills in the support, maintenance, and development of the University’s High-Performance Computing (HPC) and other Research HPC infrastructure.

About You:

• You have a strong working knowledge of Linux servers in a production environment.
• Good technical investigation skills, troubleshooting faults in both hardware and software.
• Scripting UNIX shell (bash), Perl, Python and experience of compiling HPC code from source.
• You have experience of training and presenting to groups of varying experience level.
• Prioritise support requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organisation.
