Starting salary from £35,333, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £42,155.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated IT professional to join a successful team delivering Research and specialist computing services to the University.

 

Working in partnership with researchers and support staff you will support the process for preparing a successful research proposal, ensuring that any stated IT compliance requirements are understood and addressed, and provide IT technical advice and guidance as required. You will work closely with researcher’s to design and deliver IT systems and services, in addition to upgrading and maintenance of existing systems, installation and support of applications and tools, fault resolution & support, backup & security and decommissioning. This role will support a range of mainly Microsoft systems and specialist scientific equipment.

 

You must have good experience of systems development and be an expert on Microsoft technologies. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and demonstrable attention to detail are also required, together with a customer focused approach to service delivery.

 

This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
