Why should your company or institution support Women in HPC?
Women in HPC is a completely volunteer-run organisation. Find out how you can support us through volunteering and sponsorship.
SC23 is about to launch this year’s registration, and with it, thousands of our community will begin planning their digital and/or in-person attendance for this November. Despite a record return to attending events in our community in both the Supercomputing and international conferences, female attendance and participation is stunningly small.
The HPC community has and continues to make strides in welcoming people from all backgrounds into our field. With each step forward we benefit from the new ideas and rich and diverse experience – but we still have much to do!
This is why is it is imperative we continue to raise both sponsorships and foster more volunteer and mentoring work in our community. Thanks to the work so far done, we have come back from the pandemic with strong attendance at SC22 and ISC23, and this year – thanks to DoITNow – we will keep opportunities rolling for early career women with planned travel bursaries to SC in Denver this coming November.
The funds we raise and relationships we foster helps us to build towards greater engagement with the HPC Community. Our work was recognised only last year for our ability to foster leadership and our global networking events have provided a safe space for all those who wish to work in our field.
If you would like to get involved at a company or institutional level we have several sponsorship levels available. Our partners feedback has been incredible – as being a part of our community allows companies and institutions the opportunities to engage and listen to the needs of our members and allies, as well as directs much needed funds to supporting womxn in the field.
We also are always on the lookout for volunteers and mentors! Each major conference provides us the opportunity to mentor emerging leadership, and if you wish to give a few hours of your time to engage with these talented womxn it is easy to do – no mentorship experience needed – just the need to support and uplift our talented speakers and presenters.
If you are interested in being a part of our supporter, volunteer, or mentorship field please get in touch with us at info@womeninhpc.org. You can even donate individually! Head to our general donation page and contribute today.
