WHPC@PEARC25 – Call for Participation
For the second year, WHPC will be holding a workshop at PEARC25 (Columbus, OH, USA). As with all our workshops and events, our goal is to cultivate competencies geared towards appreciating the value of a diverse workforce and establishing an inclusive environment that welcomes all Humans. This workshop, titled “WHPC: Collaboration, Community, Careers,” builds upon successful event held during PEARC24. Our agenda focuses on bringing the communities together through shared values of diversity and inclusion, advocating for all people from underrepresented groups.
We are soliciting participation from the community, in the form of 10 minute talks or other organized activities. Talk topics of interest include:
- WHPC chapter (or member) experiences and perspectives.
- Career experience and perspectives from those who identify as an individual from an underrepresented group.
- Strategies for enhancing diversity and inclusion across the entire Research Computing and Data (RCD) and HPC workforce.
- Strategies for recruitment, retention, and success.
- Strategies for building inclusive communities.
