Women in HPC announces The 20th International Women in HPC Workshop: Diversity and Inclusion for All

The WHPC Executive Committee and Volunteers for SC24 are pleased to announce the launch of the 20th International Women in HPC Workshop: Diversity and Inclusion for All! As part of this all-day event, we are launching the call for lightning talks for SC24, taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, from November 17-22, 2024.

Our annual workshop serves as a vital platform to address diversity within the HPC community, focusing on improving diversity and inclusion, understanding DEI for various groups, recruitment and retention strategies, community building, and valuing diverse experiences and career paths.

WHPC encourages anyone from an underrepresented group who considers themselves to be early in their career (i.e., still studying, within five years of graduating, or within five years of transitioning into the field) to participate. However, this opportunity is open to anyone who feels they could benefit from presenting their work, regardless of career stage. We welcome both technical and non-technical contributions to broaden the knowledge of all attendees.

With the generous support of our Champion, Do It Now, we are pleased to announce that included within the application for lightning talks is an opportunity to apply for our WHPC Travel Fellowships. These coveted fellowships will be awarded to two of this year’s lightning talk speakers, and will cover reimbursement of travel expenses, as well as opportunities to engage with our media partners.

Submissions close August 16th, 2024.
