WHPC@SC25 Call for Submissions!

Exciting news! The Call for Participation for WHPC@SC25 is officially OPEN!

I’m so pleased to let you all know that submissions are now being accepted for our 23rd international Women in HPC workshop, which will take place at SC25 in St. Louis, Missouri this November!

This year’s theme is Building Community, Building Careers – and that’s exactly what we’re aiming to do. We want to make sure all voices are heard at SC and have these opportunities to build a supportive community around them and build up a career at the same time. So, a key part of our workshop is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for early-career researchers to present their work at a major international conference, find friendly faces and attend their very first SC with confidence.

Find all details, everything you need to prepare and how to submit here: https://womeninhpc.org/events/sc-2025-workshop

Here’s some highlights, just to get you interested!

Travel Fellowships Available!
Worried about the cost of attending SC25? Thanks to our amazing supporters, we’re offering two WHPC Travel Fellowships each worth up to $3,800 USD (£3,000 GBP). These fellowships can help cover your travel, accommodation, registration, meals, and more. All you need to do is include a short personal statement with your submission, telling us why attending this workshop matters to you. Submissions are reviewed independently to the personal statements, so your statement won’t affect your chances of being selected to speak. We just want to make sure the support goes where it’s needed most.

Even More Travel Support Available!

We are also really proud to announce that the NHR|WHPC chapter are also offering travel grants to support women and individuals from underrepresented groups in Germany! Check out the full Call for Submissions to see how you can apply.

Lightning Talks = Big Impact
If selected, you’ll present your work in a fast-paced, 3-minute lightning talk. It’s a fantastic way to share your ideas, get visibility, and make connections with a global HPC audience. And we’ll help you prepare and make the most of your moment on the stage.

Everyone is Welcome
Whether your work is technical or not, whether you’re working in academia, industry, or somewhere else in HPC – we want your perspective. HPC thrives on diversity and we want to highlight the wide range of ways people contribute to the field.

Early-Career Researchers, This Is for You!
If you’re still studying, recently graduated, or just getting started in HPC, this may be the moment for you! We want to give you that stepping stone into the community and onto bigger and brighter things.

So, why do we think you should submit to WHPC@SC25?

  • You’ll be part of a supportive, friendly community
  • You’ll get valuable feedback and mentorship
  • You’ll make connections that can shape your career
  • You’ll get to show off your work to an international HPC audience
  • And, let’s be honest, WHPC events are always fun!

Polish up that abstract, grab your CV, and head over to Linklings to submit. We can’t wait to hear what you’ve been working on – and hopefully see you in St. Louis this November!
