Third Annual Women in HPC Breakfast at CIUK24 – UK Chapters and Affiliates

Join us for the 3rd Annual Women in HPC UK Chapters Breakfast at CIUK 2024! We invite all members, friends, and allies to Manchester Central on December 6th, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, for a morning of networking, inspiration, and the grand finale of our Move the Needle project on goal-setting in equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA).

Distinguished Speakers – Move the Needle, Accountability Team (“A-Team”)

We are delighted to welcome three core project members from Move the Needle: Dr. Tobias Weinzierl, Dr. Marta Camps Santasmasas, and Dr. Tom Meltzer as they take us on a journey through their experiences with the Move the Needle project. From skills development, recruitment, mentoring, and more – their stories will highlight the paths travelled to achieve their aims – and how those experiences can assist you with your own goals.

Hosted by Cristin Merritt, Project Leader, this group talk will cover not only each team member’s experience, but also how the project transformed beyond the A-Team and into the global community.

Move the Needle was conducted in collaboration with Women in HPC and Alces Flight.

Following the talk we are pleased to bring back the Lyceum, where attendees will have the chance to join a rotating panel to share experiences, ask questions, and inspire others with insights into EDIA in HPC.
